FEBRUARY Scholarships!!!

  • HEB UIL Scholarship – https://www.sportsinaction.com/scholarship/ 15 $2000 scholarships to TEXAS students.  5 from sports, 5 from band, and 5 from academic UIL.   This is a good one!  Apply!!!   DUE – Feb. 3, 2023.  

  • NORTEX Scholarships – https://www.nortex.com/scholarships/ -This is actually a group of several different scholarships with one common application.   DUE Feb. 8, 2023

  • Texas Medical Association Young Physician Section will award its rural science scholarship, the Michael O’Malley Scholarship. This $1,000 award is given to a rural Texas high school senior who excels in science, for use toward continuing his or her education with the goal of becoming a physician. Please note that digital copies of each student’s official transcript and two letters of reference must be uploaded as part of the application process. Applicants will be notified of their status via email in April 2023. The selected winner must provide TMA with a copy of their letter of acceptance from an accredited college or university prior to disbursement of the award. https://form.jotform.com/TexMed/2023_OMalley_Scholarship   Applications must be submitted online by Tuesday, February 28, 2023

  • Fort Worth Scottish Rite Foundation Scholarship Program – .https://fortworthscottishrite.org/scholarships/ The Fort Worth Scottish Rite Foundation, Inc. (the “Foundation”) is pleased to announce its 2023 Scholarship Program. Each scholarship is One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500) and will be awarded in accordance with the terms and conditions stated herein and in the attached sample letter to be sent to the institution designated by the student. The scholarships honor seniors graduating from high schools/secondary schools for their scholastic, extracurricular and community efforts and dedication. Successful applicants must be a U.S. citizen or a legal resident. Five (5) of the scholarships are reserved for students who will be seeking an Associate Degree at a community college, sometimes known as junior college Due on Feb. 25

 

MARCH Scholarships!!!

  • Texas Farm Bureau Scholarships - there are several scholarships available and the applications are due by March 15th.  Click on the link to see the different scholarships and the requirements.  TFB Scholarships - Texas Farm Bureau

  • Ruiz 4 Kids Scholarship –  Know someone who could use $1,000 for college? Ruiz 4 Kids is looking to award scholarships for the 2023-2024 school year. Students must have the desire to further their education and prove that they are willing to work hard towards realizing their dream. Applications for 2023-2024 scholarships are now available at the link below! Applications and required documentation must be submitted online by March 31st. Eligibility: Attends a high school within a set radius of the Ruiz Foods plant. Minimum 3.0 GPA if applying to a 4-year college/university. Minimum 2.5 GPA if applying to a community college or trade school. Must be a full-time student.   • Texoma Chevy Dealers’ Student Scholarship Program – 16 Texoma area seniors will have the chance to win a  $1,000 scholarship that can be used towards educational expenses at a college or trade school of their choice. Each applicant must fill out the application at and submit a 2-3 minute video answering the questions provided. Two 2023 graduating seniors from each dealership’s area will win! The program will start February 1st and all submissions should be received by March 15th. Winners will be announced in late April.  https://texomachevydealersscholarships.com/

  • Butterfield Stage Company Scholarship –  this one is more targeted for Theater Majors.
    Applicants must have an intent to study theater performance, theater writing, or technical theater at an accredited community
    college or four-year university. 2 – $1000 scholarships to be awarded.  The deadline for video submission is March 31, 2023. Printed applications can be found in your Senior Google Classroom or visit Mrs. Whitt to grab a printed copy. 

  • Jean Arendt Scholarship –  https://www.fwbdenton.com/music-scholarships-and-band-dollas  This $500 scholarship will be available for any North Texas high school senior female to apply for who has focused on giving back to their community while maintaining eligible grades. 

  • Sallie Mae Fund – Bridging the Dream Scholarships for HS Seniors | Sallie Mae Fund  High school seniors who are US citizens or permanent residents and plan to enroll in an accredited post-secondary institution or continuing education program during the 2023-2024 academic year are eligible. Applicants must demonstrate leadership skills and moral character, as well as submit a short video describing how the scholarship will assist them in achieving their goals.  The deadline for submission is  ‍March 27 at 12 pm ET.

  • Callisburg Volunteer Fire Department – Is offering a vocational scholarship for any student that will be attending any vocational training in the fall.  They would prefer a candidate going into healthcare of an emergency related field (fire, rescue, emergency care), however, students pursuing other trades are welcome to apply.  Application can be found in Google Classroom or you can get one in Mrs. Baggs office.  Applications are due to Mrs. Baggs by March 31, 2023.  

APRIL Scholarships!!!

  • 4U Credit Union - Scholarship application available in Mrs. Baggs office or Google Classroom.  Application is due by April 1, 2023 and can be dropped off at the Gainesville 4U Credit Union branch or mailed in to 1312 Lawrence St. Gainesville, TX, 76240.

  • Order of the Eastern Star - Gainesville Chapter - Scholarship deadline for application is April 1st.  This is a very simple application to complete.  Copies are available in Mrs. Baggs' office or on Google Classroom.  

  • Robertson & Moss Attorneys Scholarship – $1,000 scholarship for a Callisburg graduating senior.  Application can be found in Google Classroom or you can get one in Mrs. Baggs office.   Application is due April 7, 2023.  

  • North Texas Medical Center Scholarship Application - This is an application for a scholarship for high school seniors that plan to enter the healthcare field.  There are 6 scholarships available and the application is due April 14, 2023.  Please return the completed application to Mrs. Baggs.  *Copies available in Mrs. Baggs office or Google Classroom.  

  • Coach Olen Rouw Memorial Scholarship – They will be awarding two $500 scholarships to seniors this year and the application is due by April 14, 2023.  Application can be found in Google Classroom or you can get one in Mrs. Baggs office. 

  • KWC Scholarship – 4 Scholarships at $500/each and is open to the entire senior class.  Boys and girls are welcome to apply for the scholarships given by the Kiowa Woman’s Club.  Deadline for the application is April 14, 2023 and must be submitted to Mrs. Baggs.  KWC Scholarship

  • Lake Kiowa Kiwanis –  Scholarship is now available.  There will be four $1,000 scholarships awarded.  I have attached the application and criteria for the scholarship in Google Classroom.  See Mrs. Baggs or Mrs. Whittington if you have any questions or need a printed copy.  Please turn in the complete application to Mrs. Baggs by April 15, 2023.  

  • Fletcher Morris Scholarship –  application is in Google Classroom.  Applicants must be pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.   It is due to Mrs. Baggs by April 21, 2023.  This scholarship is for $1,000.

  • Masonic Children & Family Services of Texas Scholarship – https://www.masonichometx.org/pdfs/mcfstxscholarshipform.pdf – Multiple $2500 scholarships offered.  For trade school or college.  DUE – April 30, 2023.

 

MAY Scholarships!!!

  • Texas Interscholastic League Foundation Scholarship –https://www.tilfoundation.org/scholarships/eligibility-requirements/  Have you been to state in UIL???  This scholarship is for you!!    Applicants must have competed at the UIL academic, Debate, One Act, or Theatrical Design STATE meet. OR be a state finalist in the Barbara Jordan historical essay competition, the Latino History Essay Competition, or the UIL Young Filmmakers Festival, OR be a member of one of the top 10 teams per competition group at the BEST or FIRST state robotics competition.  Opens March 1 - DUE May 26, 2023
