• I take a lot of pride in saying I am truly a Wildcat at heart!  Callisburg is home to me and I am so excited to be coming full circle here as a teacher and coach.

I moved to the Woodbine area and started attending Callisburg schools right before I started fourth grade.  I have so many fun memories of elementary and middle school as a Wildcat.  But for me the fun was really being a part of many sports teams in high school.  It was then I started thinking of coaching and working with kids.  However I took somewhat of an alternate route to finding my career.

After high school I started working full time and quickly worked my way up the chain at McCoy’s Building Supply. I have worked almost every position within the store, including Assistant Manager.  After a while working in management I made the decision to go back to college and earn my degree.  Attending the University of North Texas was a bit of an adjustment for me, but with hard work I finished my degree and am excited to be the first member of my family to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree.  I have taught in Walnut Bend, S&S, and now I’m home in Callisburg.  This will be my 8th year to teach and coach.

Family is also very important to me.  My wife, Carrie, teaches 6th grade math here too.  We have been married for 17 years.  We have twins, Caden and Callie, who will be in 4th grade this year.  We are super proud of all the things we have watched them achieve in their classroom and starting in little league sports.    I can’t wait until they are in middle school and high school to continue their success.
