• School supplies and text books

Please consider digging up your student's old school supplies to use in my class.  Everyone loves a new box of crayons, but the old ones work just fine for what we will need them for in science class.  The same is true of rulers, protractors, scissors, map colors, etc.  An old spiral notebook with some clean pages will work well for a science journal too.

Everyone will have their own textbook this year. Your child will be responsible for keeping up with their book. They may store it in the classroom and only bring it home when they have homework in it, or they may carry it back and forth to school, just as long as it is available every day in science class. It will belong to your student at the end of the year and makes a handy review for the 8th grade STAAR test.
