Michelle Tyler competed in Grand Prairie at the Regional Meet and represented Callisburg well. She finished in 39th place out of 178 runners and missed out going to state by 10 positions. We are so proud of Michelle and look forward to next year as Cross Country continues to improve and get better.
The Cross Country Team traveled over to Heritage Park in Muenster and competed in the sloppy mud and came away with 17 Medals.High School Boys: John Klein Won his first ever High School Cross Country race and Ryder Reed placed 14th. The Boys Team also Placed 3rd overall. Runners included: Riley Powell, John Reyes, Robert Baldwin, Ethan Morrell, Brayden Medford and Logan Bronnenburg. Great Job High School Boys!!!!Varsity Girls: The Girls Team Placed 3rd overall. Michelle Tyler led the charge placing Second and running her best time of the year. LaDeana Perry placed 4th, Jessie Payne 10th and MaKayla Perry 20th. Victoria Crowsey and Bailey Powell also competed and both ran their best times of the year. Fantastic Job Girls!!!JV Girls: Shalynn Blevins placed 9th and Kennedy Payne 12th. Great Job!!!!Middle School Girls: 4 girls received medals. Haily Bass placed 6th, Skylar Mauldin 12th, Lauren Garza 13th and Caylin Carpenter 14th. Payton Smith also competed and ran a personnel best time for the season. The Team finished 4th. Amazing Job Girls!!!!!!Middle School Boys: Angel Valdez-Mata ran his best race of the season and took 1st Place. Cody Cameron placed 6th, Matthew Courture 12th, Jessie Klein 13th, and Patrick Burt 14th. Team Members Included: Jase Townley, Carlos Vega, Ty Morrell, Garrett Medford, Cole Walker, and Nico Payne. The Boys Team finished Second Overall. Outstanding Job!!!!!The next Cross Country Meet will be District @ Pottsboro -October 10th.
The Callisburg Cross Country Team traveled to Boyd and competed in a very large and competitive meet that included 29 teams from all over the region.Varsity Girls- (107-Runners) LaDeana Perry led the Lady Cats placing 21st., Jessie Payne placed 60th and Michele Tyler 61st. Varsity Team members are Mary Grace Morrow, Taylor Dungan, Bailey Powell, and MaKayla Perry. The team placed 12th overall. Great Job Lady Cats!!!!!!!Varsity Boys- (115 Runners) John Klein led the Wildcats placing 25th. Ryder Reed also competed well for the Wildcats. Great Job Boys!!!!!!JV Girls- (47 runners) Kennedy Payne placed 21st and Victoria Crowsey 22nd. Great Job Girls!!!!!!JV Boys- (84 runners) John Reyes led our boys placing 31st. Riley Powell, Robert Baldwin, and Ethan Morrell also competed for Wildcats.Middle School Girls- (235 Runners) Katie Houk was Top Lady Cat placing 21st. Hailey Bass also placed well finishing in 61st place. The Team placed 13th overall. Team members are Nicole Gates, Noemi Diaz, Payton Smith Caylin Carpenter and Lauren Garza. Great Job Middle School Girls!!!!!!!!Middle School Boys- (215 Runners) Angel Valdez Mata placed 18th and Cody Cameron 30th. The Team placed 11th overall. Team members are David Carpenter, Nico Payne, Ty Morrell, Jesse Klein, Patrick Burt, Carlos Vega, and Cole Walker. The Callisburg Cross Country team kicked off the season @ Slidell in an unusual event, which was a 4 person relay race. The girls ran a 4 mile relay and the boys a 6 mile relay.The Varsity Girls Team placed Second overall. Team members are: LaDeana Perry, MaKayla Perry, Mary Grace Morrow and Jessie Payne.Jessie Payne rallied the Ladycats chasing down Gunter who had a 200 meter lead in the final mile to take the runner up the trophy.Individual Results: LaDeana Perry Placed 3rd and Jessie Payne 4th .Great Job Lady Cats!!!!!!The second relay team members were Michelle Tyler, Bailey Powell, Talylor Dungan, and Victoria Crowsey.The Varsity boys team were led by John Klein who finished 4th overall.
